Navjot Singh Sidhu is an Indian politician, television personality and former cricketer. He was the Minister of Local Government, Tourism and Culture of the Punjab State. A professional cricketer, Sidhu had a career spanning more than 19 years after making his first division debut in 1981–82. After losing his place in the national team after his international debut in 1983-1984, he returned to score within half a century at the 1987 World Cup. Playing almost exclusively as a first-class player, Sidhu has taken part in 51 tests and 136 international one-day tournaments for his country. He is known for his ability to hit six and won the title "Sixer Sidhu". After his retirement, he turned to commentary and television, most notably as a judge on comedy shows, stationary appearances on Comedy Nights with Kapil and later The Kapil Sharma Show. He was a contestant on the Bigg Boss reality show and was seen on Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa.
