El Salvador's President-elect after winning the 2019 election is a businessman and politician. He is well-known for being the first person to win the presidency while belonging to the GANA party, which is an alternative to El Salvador's two main political parties.

Nayib Armando Bukele Ortez is a Salvadoran politician and businessman, and currently the 46th and current President of El Salvador. He has been in service since June 1, 2019 after winning the 2019 election. He has been running as a Grand coalition right-party candidate for the United States United Party. country and became the first president since José Napoléón Duarte was not elected as the candidate of one of the two main political parties: Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front and Republican Coalition. He is also the founder of the political party Nuevas Ideas. Bukele was previously elected mayor of Nuevo Cuscatlán on March 11, 2012. He was also elected mayor of San Salvador on March 1, 2015 and took office on May 1, 2015. He ran for and won elections in both public bodies under the banner of the Left National Liberation Front - Farabundo Martí. As a populist, Bukele has been criticized for his authoritarian management.
