Nazril Irham, also known as Ariel, is an Indonesian rock singer and songwriter. He is a singer for Indonesian band Noah. Ariel is of Malay descent with her father and Minangkabau with her mother. He has appeared in advertisements. Ariel founded Peterpan in Bandung in 2000 along with Andika, Indra, Lukman, Reza and Uki. Peterpan's second album, Bintang di Surga, is one of the best-selling albums in Indonesia. He was arrested in 2010 on charges involving sex tapes of a celebrity circulating on the internet after his laptop was stolen. Peterpan changed his name to Noah after Ariel was released in 2012. Noah also enjoyed commercial success, with his debut album Seperti Seharusnya selling over a million copies.
