Nemanja Vidić is a retired Serbian professional soccer player. He has notably played for Manchester United from 2006 to 2014 and was part of the Serbian national team from 2002 to 2011. He was widely regarded as the best center-back in the world during his prime for his consistency and conscience in defense, as well as strength, leadership and aerial ability, and is now widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation. He is one of the only three players to have won the Premier League Player of the Year title twice, alongside Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo. After founding at Red Star Belgrade in the early 2000s, Vidić moved to Spartak Moscow in the summer of 2004. He continued to attract the attention of small groups as he was part of the defense of the national team.
