He is best known for his roles as Richard Alpert in the ABC Lost television series and Sheriff Alex Romero in the TV series A&E Bates Motel. Carbonell has also played Mayor Anthony Garcia in Christopher Nolan's superhero films The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
