Nicholas Richard Denis Compton is a former British first class cricket and competitive athlete who recently played for Middlesex County Cricket Club. As Denis Compton's nephew, he represented England in 16 test matches. Right-handed and sometimes right-handed pitcher, he made his A-list debut for Middlesex in 2001 and made his first-place debut three years later. His move to Somerset in 2010 saw Compton establish himself as a stable top scorer and after a full national season he made his England debut. In a match against India in November 2012. In April 2013, Almanack of Wisden Cricketers named Compton one of the five cricketers of the year in their Wisden. He was a guest for Worcestershire during the 2013 season. Compton left Somerset to return to Middlesex at the end of the 2014 season
