Nicholas William Markakis is a former American baseball boxer. He has played in the Major League baseball tournament for 15 seasons for the Baltimore Orioles and the Atlanta Braves. Markakis was the player selected in the first round of Orioles, seventh overall, in the 2003 Major League Baseball, and made his MLB debut in 2006. Markakis is the three-time Gold Gloves winner, he won the Silver Slugger and was named the MLB All-Star in 2018. Markakis holds the MLB record for a straight-out midfielder without a mistake. Markakis is retiring before the start of the 2021 season
