Nigella Lucy Lawson is an English culinary writer and television chef. She is the daughter of Nigel Lawson, Lord Lawson of Blaby, former Prime Minister of the Conservative Party of Exchequer, and Vanessa Lawson, whose family owns J. Lyons and Co Food and Catering Company She attended Godolphin and Latymer schools, London. After graduating from Oxford University, where she was a colleague of Lady Margaret Hall, Lawson began working as a book critic and restaurant critic, before becoming an associate literary editor at The Sunday Times. in 1986. She then began her career as a critic. Freelance journalist, writing for many newspapers and magazines. In 1998, his first cookbook, How to Eat, was published and sold 300,000 copies, becoming a bestseller. Her second book, How To Be A Domestic Goddess, published in 2000, won the British Book Award for Author of the Year.
