Nolan Derek Smith is a former American professional basketball player who is the chief executive and player development officer of the Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team. He played college basketball for Duke before being sketched out by the Portland Trail Blazers 21st overall in the NBA Draft in 2011. As a student he started out as the shooting guard for the team. 2010 National Championship by Duke. As a senior, he was named the United States Consensus First Team Player of the Year and ACC's Player of the Year.
