Norman Milton Lear is an American writer and television producer who created or developed numerous sitcoms in the 1970s such as All in the Family, Sanford and Son, One Day at a Time and its 2017 remake. of it, The Jeffersons, Good Times and Maude. Lear is a political activist, member of the so-called Malibu mafia, who sponsors liberal and progressive politicians and politicians. Lear is a silent partner of The Nation magazine and founded the People for the American Way campaign in 1980 to oppose Christianity in politics. He supported First Amendment rights.
