After spending two years with Monterrey and a year with Leon, he joined Santos Laguna in 2006. In 2005, he joined the Mexican national team. Guadalajara signed him as a free agent in 2019.

Oribe Peralta Morones is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a striker for Liga MX club Guadalajara. Peralta started his professional career with Morelia in 2003. He then played for León and Monterrey in 2004 and 2006. Peralta was then sold to Santos Laguna, then loaned to Chiapas in 2008. After his loan he returned, Peralta was the mainstay of Santos Laguna for the next five years, playing over 200 games and scoring over 80 goals. Peralta made his top international debut in 2005, although he was not called up repeatedly until 2011, as one of the oldest reinforcements who won the 2011 USA League Games with the under 22 team. He scored two goals in a gold medal competition at the 2012 Olympic football tournament against Brazil, which was Mexico's first Olympic gold medal in football. He has also competed in CONCACAF 2015, Copa America Centenario, FIFA Confederations Cup 2017, 2014 and FIFA World Cup 2018.
