Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Copeland Bloom is an English actor. He made a breakthrough with his role as Legolas in the Lord of the Rings series, a role he has reappeared in the Hobbit franchise. He made his professional debut in In Celebration at the Duke of York Theater in the West End in 2007 and starred in the play adaptation of Romeo and Juliet on Broadway in 2013. In 2009 Bloom was named as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. In 2015, he received the BAFTA Britannia Humanitarian Award.
