Park Bom, formerly known as Bom, is a South Korean singer. She is best known as a member of Korean girl group 2NE1. Park began her music career in 2006, with singles released by her colleagues Big Bang, Lexy and Masta Wu. In 2009, she made her debut as a member of 2NE1 as the lead singer. The group has become one of Korea's most popular and best-selling girl groups of all time. Park released two solo singles, "You and I" and "Don't Cry," reaching number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, Korea's national music chart. She received the award for best digital single at the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2010. After the disbandment of 2NE1 in 2016, Park left the group's management company, YG Entertainment, in November 2016.
