Pastor Rafael Maldonado Motta is a Venezuelan professional racer who competed in Formula 1 for Team Williams and Lotus and was a Pirelli test driver until 2017. Before entering Formula 1, he won the series championship GP2 2010. He became the first Venezuelan to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix by winning the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix for Williams, since his first and only pole position. It was also his only podium and his only victory in Formula 1.
