Marion Gordon "Pat" Robertson is an American media mogul, television writer, political commentator, former Republican presidential candidate, and former Southern Baptist minister. Robertson favors a conservative Christian ideology and is known for his past activities in Republican politics. He was affiliated with the Charismatic Evangelization Movement. He is the Principal and CEO of Regent University and is the Chairman of the Christian Communications Network. He appears daily on The 700 Club, CBN's flagship television show. In Robertson's words, he was not a serious Christian until he went through personal hardships. He graduated from the closest class to Yale Law School in 1955, but failed the law exam in New York. Failure to pay off Robertson's postgraduate job opportunities, and in the months following what he later described as frustrated, confused and unemployed, he became a Christian. multiply back and start a career as a minister.
