Patrick Aloysius Ewing is a Jamaican-American basketball coach and former professional footballer who is the head coach of the Georgetown University men's team. He played most of his career as the National Basketball Association's start-up center for New York Knicks before ending his playing career with brief stints with the Seattle SuperSonics and Orlando. Magic. Ewing played at the Georgetown center for four years - of which three were the team that reached the NCAA Championship match. ESPN in 2008 named him the 16th greatest college basketball player of all time. He's had seventeen years of career in the NBA, playing primarily for the New York Knicks, where he has been a star 11 and has been on seven All-NBA teams.
