Patricia Jean Griffin is an American singer, songwriter and musician. She is a singer and plays guitar and piano. She is known for her neat composing style in folk music. His songs have been covered by many musicians including Emmylou Harris, Ellis Paul, Kelly Clarkson, Rory Block, Dave Hause, Sugarland and The Chicks. In 2007 Griffin received the Artist of the Year award from the American Music Association of the Americana and his album Children Running Through won the award for best album. In 2011, Griffin's Downtown Church album won a Grammy for Best Traditional Gospel Album, and its 2019 album of the same name won a Grammy for Best Folk Album.
