Paul Nicholas before fame

He began his career as a pop singer before deciding to pursue a career in musical theater. He founded Paul Dean & The Dreamers under the stage name Paul Dean. He then joined The Savages as a vocalist and keyboardist before recording two solo singles and signing with Robert Stigwood's Reaction Records label as Oscar.
