Paul Scholes is a former English football player and coach and co-owner of Salford City. He has devoted his entire professional career to Manchester United, with whom he has scored more than 150 goals in more than 700 appearances between 1993 and 2013. His first managerial position is at Oldham Athletic, for 31 days in February and March 2019. He was also acting manager of Salford City in October 2020. Scholes is from Manchester United Youth Academy as one of Fergie's Fledglings. Scholes made his official debut for Manchester United in the 1994–95 season. He made 718 appearances for United, the third most appearances of any player at the club. Scholes announced his retirement in May 2011 and was appointed manager of Manchester United. However, he returned to play in January 2012 and played another season for the club before retiring in May 2013 .
