He is a rapper who was born Paul Slayton and is most known for his collaborations with fellow rapper Chamillionaire. He first came to prominence with the release of his major-label debut, The Peoples Champ, in 2005.
Paul Michael Slayton, known by his stage name Paul Wall, is an American rapper, actor and DJ. He has spent most of his career affiliated with Swishahouse Records, released a number of albums under the label and collaborated with many other rappers who have signed with the label. He began his career as an interpreter with Chamillionaire, with whom he released several albums, including Get Ya Mind Correct, released independently in 2002, selling over 350,000 copies, but without a large distributor. In 2005, he was signed to Atlantic Records and achieved success with his debut on The Pe People's Champ. Followed by Get Money, Stay True in 2007. It was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance as a Duo or Group for the song "Grillz", his 2007 collaboration with the rapper. Nelly.
