Hall of Fame NHL winger born in Russia who was recognized for his speed and scoring abilities. During his career, he was named to the All-Star team seven times and led the league in goals three times.
Pavel Vladimirovich Bure is a former Russian professional ice hockey player who plays on the right wing. Nicknamed "Russian Rocket" for his speed, Bure played 12 seasons in the National Hockey League with the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers and New York Rangers. Trained in the Soviet Union, he played three seasons with the Red Army central team before his NHL career. Selected 113 overall in the 1989 NHL Draft by Vancouver, he started his NHL career in the 1991-92 season, and won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the tournament's top rookie before leading the NHL. on goals in 1993-94 and helping Canucks in the Stanley Cup Final in 1994. After seven seasons, Canucks distributed Bure to the Panthers, where he won two Rocket Richard trophies as scorer top in the league. Bure suffered a knee injury during his career, which resulted in him retiring in 2005 as a member of Rangers, even though he has not played since 2003 .
