Pavel Valerievich Datsyuk is a professional Russian ice hockey player of the Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg team of the Continental Hockey Federation. Datsyuk has been nicknamed "The Magic Man" in honor of his ability to handle the ball and his incredible creativity with the shot. From 2001 to 2016, he played for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League. In 2017, Datsyuk was named one of the "100 Greatest NHL Players" in history and the only active player outside of the NHL at the time of publication. Datsyuk won the Stanley Cup in 2002 and 2008 with the Red Wings and the Gagarin Cup in 2017 with SKA St. Petersburg. He was a member of the Russian men's ice hockey team at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympics and captained the team in 2014 and 2018.
