Pedro Almodóvar Caballero is a Spanish filmmaker, director, screenwriter, producer and former actor. His films are marked using a number of actors including Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz and a creative staff with complex stories, melodramas, pop culture, hit songs, Careless humor, vibrant colors and vibrant backgrounds. Lust, passion, family and identity are Almodóvar's most common themes in his films. He became famous as a director and screenwriter in La Movida Madrileña, a period of cultural renaissance that took place after Franco's Spain ended. His early films featured the feeling of sexual and political freedom of the time. In 1986, he founded his own film production company, El Deseo, with his brother Agustín Almodóvar, who has been responsible for producing all of his films since Law of Desire.
