Roxette, a Swedish pop vocalist and guitarist known for songs such as"Neverending Love", is a Swedish pop vocalist and guitarist.
Per Håkan Gessle is a Swedish singer, songwriter and pop musician. He is best known as the half-man and principal lyricist of Swedish pop rock duo Roxette, which formed with Marie Fredriksson in 1986 and disbanded after her death in 2019. The duo enjoyed international success at the late 1980s and early 1990s with their album Look Pointu! and Joyride, and topped the US charts four times, most notably with "It Must Have Been Love", featured in the movie Pretty Woman. Prior to founding Roxette, he had a successful career in his native Sweden as a mentor for Gyllene Tider. The group released three number one albums in the early 1980s, but disbanded shortly after their fourth album, The Heartland Café. Between the time Roxette and Gyllene Tider reunited, Gessle recorded several solo albums, in Swedish and English. After Fredriksson fell ill in 2002, he released Mazarin.
