Philip Hansen Anselmo is an American heavy metal musician known for his lead vocal roles for Pantera, Down and Superjoint Ritual, among other musical projects. He is the owner of Housecore Records. Anselmo is considered to be one of the greatest ancestors in metal history, known for his exceptionally lively and macho demeanor that has become a symbol of Pantera's general theme. Earlier in his career with the band, Anselmo attracted many heavy metal singers such as Rob Halford, who sang very well. However, he was later recognized for introducing a more compelling singing approach.
