Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan is an English radio personality, journalist, writer and television personality. Morgan began his career on Fleet Street in 1988, working as a writer and editor for a number of British tabloids, including The Sun, News of the World and Daily Mirror. In 1994, at the age of 29, he was appointed by Rupert Murdoch as Editor-in-Chief of News of the World, making him the youngest editor-in-chief of a British national newspaper in more than half a century. From 2006 to 2007, he was editor-in-chief of First News. On television, Morgan hosted her own shows Piers Morgan's Life Stories and Piers Morgan Live, co-hosted the ITV Good Morning Britain Breakfast with Susanna Reid, and rated America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent. In 2008, he won the seventh season of the Famous Apprentice of the United States. Morgan was the editor of the Daily Mirror during the time he was involved in the phone hacking scandal.
