Award-winning actor and playback singer who performs under the name Prithviraj and is popular in Malayalam films, including Nandanam and Stop Violence. For his role in Malayalam, he won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in 2011.
Prithviraj Sukumaran is an Indian film actor, director, producer, play singer and distributor known for his work primarily in Malayalam cinema. He has also appeared in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu speaking films. He has appeared in over 100 films in a variety of roles and won several awards including a National Film Award, three Kerala State Film Awards, a State Film Award, Tamil Nadu and a Southern Filmfare Award. He began acting in 2002 with a leading role in Ranjith Nandanam's successful romantic drama. He established himself as a successful main actor in the following years. In 2006, he starred in the teenage love film Classmate, which became the highest-grossing Malayalam film to date. In the same year, he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Vaasthavam, becoming the youngest to receive the award at the age of 24. In 2007, he played a musician in the Tamil comedy Mozhi.
