Rakul Preet Singh is an Indian actress and model who mainly works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. She has received three Filmfare Awards South nominations and is a recipient of a SIIMA Award. She started her modeling career in college, where she also made her acting debut in Kannada Gilli. In 2011, she entered the Miss India Femina contest, in which she placed fifth and won five contest titles including People-voted Miss Indiatimes, Miss With Fresh Faces Pantaloons, Miss Talent Femina, Beautiful Smile Miss and Miss Femina has beautiful eyes. She then chose to become a full-time actress, making her Telugu debut at Keratam the same year and making her Tamil debut at Thadaiyara Thaakka the following year. In 2014, she also made her Hindi debut in Yaariyan, where her performance was well received.
