Randhir Raj Kapoor is an Indian actor, producer and director who has worked in Hindi cinema. He was a distinguished actor of the 1970s and received two Filmfare Award nominations. However, his career declined in the early 1980s, after which he rarely appeared in films. Part of the Kapoor family, he is the son of actor-filmmaker Raj, nephew of actor Prithviraj and brother of actor Rishi. After working as a child in Shree 420 and Do Ustad, Kapoor began acting and directing with the lead role in the box office hit family film Kal Aaj Aur Kal. Later, Kapoor starred in dramas Jeet, Hamrahi and romantic comedies Jawani Diwani, Lafange, Ponga Pandit and main actors like Raampur Ka Lakshman and Haath Ki Safai made him a top actor in Hindi cinema. His career did not advance after 1985, after which he stopped playing for more than a decade.
