Previously, he hosted a weekdays morning radio show of the same name on Today FM owned by Denis O'Brien. His professional partner on this show, Jenny Kelly, became his wife on August 24, 2013 and they have two children: Tom and Kate. D'Arcy rose to prominence on a television career on RTÉ, with a children's TV show on The Den, a quiz game Blackboard Jungle and a music show for teenagers 2Phat. He covered the La Rose de Tralee beauty pageant on television each August for four consecutive years until 2010. He joined RTÉ in 2015. D'Arcy is a household name in Ireland, but does not consider himself a celebrity. and rarely gives interviews.
