Richard Timothy Smith, known by his stage name Richard O'Brien, is an Anglo-New Zealand actor, writer, composer and television presenter. He wrote the music show The Rocky Horror Show in 1973, which is still produced almost continuously. He also co-wrote the script for the adaptation film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which appeared in the film as Riff Raff. The film became an international success and received great worship. O'Brien wrote Shock Treatment and appeared in the film as Dr. Cosmo McKinley. O'Brien presented four of the Channel 4 The Crystal Maze game series. He played the voice of Lawrence Fletcher in the Disney Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb and its two films. O'Brien has also appeared in films such as Dark City, Ever After, Dungeons & Dragons, Elvira's Haunted Hills, and Jackboots on Whitehall.
