Richard Hugh McCaw is a retired New Zealand professional rugby player. He was the captain of the national team, All Blacks, in 110 of his 148 test matches, and won two Rugby World Cups. He won the World Rugby Player of the Year award with the same record three times and was the most tested rugby player of all time from August 2015 to October 2020. McCaw is the first black man. to reach 100 caps and was the first football league to play to win 100 tests. He is the most prolific player in rugby league history with 148 caps, surpassing Brian O'Driscoll's record in 2015 and losing Alun Wyn Jones's record in 2020. McCaw also balanced the record for the Most Rugby World Cup appearances with Jason Leonard. McCaw mainly played as an opening winger for the New Zealand, Crusaders and Canterbury teams, but also played at full back and not. 8. During McCaw's career, Canterbury has won the NPC five times and the Crusaders have won four Super Rugby titles.
