Ricki-Lee Dawn Coulter, also known as Ricki-Lee, is an Australian singer, songwriter, television and radio presenter. She was born in Auckland, New Zealand, raised on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and began performing at the age of 15. Coulter rose to fame in 2004 in Australian Idol's second season and finished seventh in the competition. She then signed with independent Australian firm Shock Records and released her debut album, Ricki-Lee, which produced the top 10 hits "Hell No!" and "Sunshine". Both singles were certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Australia. The following year, Coulter joined Australian pop girl group Young Divas, before leaving in early 2007 to pursue his solo career. Coulter's second album, Brand New Day, was certified gold and included the top 10 singles "Love Is All Around", "Can't Sing a Different Song" and "Can't Touch It", which was released later.
