Robert Lawler is a professional American mixed martial artist who has competed since 2001. He is a former UFC welterweight champion, a former EliteXC mid-size champion and has previously competed in Strikeforce, PRIDE and IFL. Known for his aggressive fighting style, Lawler is the only fighter to win three consecutive “Fight of the Year” awards from Sherdog and MMA Fighting, for his matches against Johny Hendricks, Rory MacDonald and Carlos Condit. As of April 26, 2021, he is ranked 14th in the UFC welding weight ranking.
