In 2002, he made his professional debut with Chelsea, and in 2004, he made his international debut for Germany.

Robert Huth is a former German professional soccer player who used to play at center-back. He is a three-time Premier League champion and has been played by a German player in the Premier League. Huth was signed to Chelsea from the German youth club system 1. FC Union Berlin in 2001 by Claudio Ranieri. He has struggled to make it to a place in Chelsea's first team and with players like John Terry, William Gallas and Ricardo Carvalho ahead of him in his search journey at Stamford Bridge, he joined Middlesbrough in May. August 2006 for a fee of £ 6 million. He spent three years at Riverside and after being relegated from the club in 2009, Huth signed for Stoke City for a record £ 5million. After a successful 2010-11 season for Huth, who saw him play in the FA Cup final, he was named Stoke player of the year. Under Tony Pulis, Huth remained an important member of the Stoke team in 2011–12 and 2012–13.
