About Roberta Bondar

She is the first female astronaut from Canada, as well as the first neurologist in space. She is a member of the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.

Roberta Bondar was the first Canadian astronaut and the first neuroscientist in space. After more than a decade leading the international aerospace medicine team in partnership with NASA, Bondar has become a consultant and speaker in the business, science and medical community. Bondar has received numerous honors, including nomination as a Companion of the Order of Canada and Order of Ontario, NASA's Space Medal, more than 28 honorary degrees, included in the Temple of his reputation.
