Carew has appeared in 18 straight All-Star Games and led AL in triple hits, with 239 hits in 1977, the 12th most at the time. He won seven AL Polishing titles, the second most polished title in history after Ty Cobb, and on July 12, 2016, the AL Polishing title was renamed Rod Carew's American League. On August 4, 1985, Carew became the club's 16th 3000-shot member with a header from Frank Viola.
