Roseann O'Donnell is an American comedian, producer, actress, author and television personality. She began her acting career as a teenager and made her breakthrough in the Search for a Star television series in 1984. After a series of television and film roles, she introduced her to the public. Dedicated one-day talk show Rosie O'Donnell Show, which between 1996 and 2002 won a number of Day Emmy Awards. During this period, she developed the nickname "Queen of Nice", as well as a reputation for her charitable activities. From 2006 to 2007, O'Donnell experienced controversy as the moderator of the daytime talk show The View, including a public feud with Donald Trump and online disputes related to the Bush administration's policies towards war in Iraq. She hosted Rosie Radio on Sirius XM Radio from 2009-2011, and from 2011-2012 hosted a second short talk show on OWN, The Rosie Show.
