Rostam Batmanglij, known as Rostam, is an American record producer, songwriter, singer, songwriter and musician. He is a founding member of the group Vampire Weekend, in which he produced the first three albums. He has been described as one of the greatest pop and indie-rock producers of his generation. Rostam is also active as a solo artist and a member of the electronic group Discovery. He produced his debut album at the age of 27, Vampire Weekend's Contra. Batmanglij has been nominated for three Grammy Awards: twice for Best Alternative Album with Vampire Weekend and once for Album of the Year as Producer of Haim's Women in Music Pt. III.
