Russell Jay Kuntz is a former American midfielder in the Major League baseball tournament. He played for the Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers from 1979 to 1985. He has never played more than 84 games in any given season in his competitive career. In the final match of the World Series 1984, Kuntz hit a pop-fly at the second facility, becoming the decisive batting race. Kuntz grew up in Kansas and California, playing three sports in high school and community college. He attended the Division III World Series twice with California State University Stanislaus before being selected by the White Sox in Round 11 of Major League Baseball in 1977. After the 1984 season, Kuntz was unable to perform. get back in shape. He was demoted to minor tournaments early in the 1985 season and left professional baseball as a player shortly thereafter.
