About Ryan Ellis
In 2016-17, he was a key member of the Nashville Predators' run to the Stanley Cup Finals. During the 2011-12 season, he made his debut with the Predators. In 2009 and 2010, he won back-to-back Memorial Cups with the CHL's Windsor Spitfires.
Ryan James Ellis is a Canadian professional ice hockey defender and replacement captain of the National Hockey Federation's Nashville Hunt Team. After his second season in the Ontario Hockey League, Ellis was selected 11th overall by the Predators in the NHL Draft in 2009. During his career, he played a pivotal role in guiding Spitfire matches from Windsor to consecutive Memorial Cups as Canadian Hockey Championship in 2009 and 2010. Personally, he was named to Team CHL and OHL All-Star 2008, OHL 2009 and 2011 and team OHL's second all-star in 2010. He received the OHL's Bobby Smith Cup as OHL's School Player of the Year. In the 2008 League, Max Kaminsky Trophy was the best defensive player of 2009 and 2011 and the Red Tilson title of best player of 2011. Nationally, he was named defender and player of year CHL year 2011.
