She is also known for her role as voice actor for Elisa Maza in the Disney Gargoyles animated series and Viveca Foster in the CBS Family Law series. Richardson has also appeared in several other films such as The Great White Hype, Antwone Fisher, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid and I Am Legend. She has appeared in independent films Pastor Brown, Black Dynamite and I Will Follow. In the 2010s, Richardson began working as a television director.
