In 2010, she made her international debut for Mexico in women's volleyball. She was named NCAA Freshman of the Year by Volleyball Magazine during her college career at the University of Southern California.

Samantha Bricio is a Mexican volleyball player, the youngest player in the history of the Mexican team. Bricio played at the 2009 FIVB Women's World Youth Championship and again in 2011, finishing twelfth. She received the Server and Top Scorer Awards at the 2010 Central and Caribbean Olympics and the 2011 Inter-American Teen Cup, the 2011 Inter-American Teen Cup, and the 2013 Pan American Cup top scorer.
