Scott Ronald Dixon is a professional New Zealand racer competing in the NTT IndyCar Series for Chip Ganassi Racing. Dixon won the IndyCar Championship six times: in 2003, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2020. He also won the 92nd Indianapolis 500 in 2008 from pole position. With 50 wins, Dixon is the third most successful driver in the history of the American auto championship, and his 50 wins lead all the active racers in the current IndyCar series. He is also triple winner of the general classification and winner of a place at the 24 Hours of Daytona. With six titles in his streak, Dixon won at least one race for sixteen consecutive seasons from 2005 to 2020, and shares with Foyt the record of winning a race in 18 seasons. He was the only rider to win the IndyCar Championship in his first year in the series. Dixon was selected in a global fan poll as one of the 33 greatest racers in Indianapolis 500 history
