Scott Ian is an American musician, best known as a rhythm guitarist, supporting and complementing the lead vocals, lyricist and the only remaining original member of the thrash metal band Anthrax. Ian is a guitarist and founding member of the crossover band Stormtroopers of Death, of which he is also a lyricist. He hosted The Rock Show on VH1 and appeared in VH1's I Love the ... series, Heavy: The Story of Metal and SuperGroup. Ian was also a rhythm guitarist for metal band The Damned Things and performed with experimental group Mr. Bungle on seven reunification programs in 2020.
