Scotty Maurice Pippen Sr., often spelled Scottie Pippen, is a former professional American basketball player. He played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association, winning six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls. Pippen, along with Michael Jordan, were instrumental in making the Bulls a championship team and popularizing the NBA worldwide in the 1990s. Considered one of the greatest small strikers of all time, Pippen has named for NBA All-Defensive First Team eight times in a row and the All-NBA First Division Team three times. He was a seven-time NBA All-Star and the MVP NBA All-Star Game in 1994. He was named one of the 50 Best Players in NBA history in the 1996-1997 season, and as one of the four jerseys retired by the Chicago Bulls. It played a leading role in the 1992 Chicago Bulls Championship and 1996 Chicago Bulls Championship, being selected as two of the top 10 teams in NBA history.
