Sergio Germán Romero is an Argentinian professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Manchester United and the Argentina national team. He made his Racing Club debut in the Primera División in Argentina in 2007, then joined Dutch club AZ at the end of the season. He won the Eredivisie in 2009 and two years later he joined the Italian soccer team Sampdoria. In 2013, he joined Monaco thanks to a one-season loan. He joined Manchester United in July 2015. Romero is the most covered goalkeeper in Argentina national team history, playing more than 90 times since his debut in 2009. He has represented Argentina in two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups. World Cup and three Copa América tournaments, which finished second in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, as well as the 2015 and 2016 Copa América tournaments.
