Shabazz Bozie Napier is an American professional basketball player. He was drafted for the 24th time by Charlotte Hornets in NBA Draft 2014 and was immediately traded for the Miami Heat. He represents the Puerto Rico national team in high-level international tournaments. He played college basketball for the Connecticut Huskies team and won two national championships in 2011 and 2014. Napier was a key player in the 2010-11 NCAA championship team, as part of the Big East All Rookie team. . After his youth season, Napier was selected for the All-Big East First Team. During the 2013-2014 season, Napier was unanimously selected for All-AAC Team of the Year and was named the best player of the American Athletics Conference. He was once again one of UConn's key players as he won the NCAA for the second time in four years in 2014 and was named the tournament's top player.
