Shelly Leonor Martinez is a retired American professional model, actress, athlete and wrestler. She is known for her work with World Wrestling Entertainment on the ECW franchise under the stage name Ariel and for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under the Salinas stage as a maid of The Latin American Xchange. Martinez entered pro wrestling in December 2000. She was primarily active on the independent track in Southern California, under the name Desire, competing for promotions such as Revolution Pro Wrestling, Ultimate Pro Wrestling and Empire Wrestling Federation. In April 2005, she signed a contract with WWE and was assigned to their development territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling. She switched to the ECW brand in mid-2006 and used a tarot reader, manager Kevin Thorn, then known as Ariel. In 2007, she was released from her contract with WWE and signed with TNA. Known as Salinas, she is affiliated with LAX and leads two group members, Homicide and Hernandez.
