Shoaib Akhtar is a former Pakistani cricketer and commentator who is considered one of the fastest pitchers in international cricket history, having played serve at 100 mph, during ODI match against England - a group match at Cricket World Cup 2003. He has been nicknamed "Rawalpindi Express", after his pace and hometown, and "Tiger". He was also the first bowler to be logged in bowling at 100 miles per hour, and has done so twice in his career. He debuted Test in November 1997 as a quick-opening bowler and played his first One Day International three months later. Akhtar has been drawn into some controversy during his career, often accused of unsportsmanlike behavior, despite being praised for having made a significant impact in games for Pakistan. Akhtar was sent home during a test series in Australia in 2005 because of his bad attitude. A year later, he got into a drug scandal after he tested positive for nandrolone performance enhancer.
